Global Warming Fail

Text reads:

I was watching inconvenient truth the other day and theres the bit where it shows the sea level rising really high and flooding most of the world. Well i live near the sea, and don’t want to drown, so i got to thinking. Maybe if we lower the sea level a bit, when the water level rises then it won’t rise high enough to flood.

Anyway, heres the plan. Everyone who can should take a bucket of sea water and pour it down the sink. If lots of people put the effort in, we could lower the sea level substantially and create a better world for our children to live

So you want to pour salt water down the sink, kill the fresh water fish in the river, and put the water right back in the ocean?

Damn, that is a real FAIL!

  3. No Says:

Whoa whoa whoa. Putting salt water down the sink won’t kill fresh water fish. There is salt in fresh water…it will be highly diluted when you pour it down the sink. The point is that it will go right back to the ocean. Plus if everyone took one bucket of sea water and put it in their home (storing it, not putting it down the sink), the ocean level will be almost exactly the same.

Fail first comment as well, since when does sink water go into a river?

As Cynthia said that wouldn’t be a good idea. Native fish have been getting a raw deal for a very long time, and I’m not talking about the snail darter… In some states such as mine they still have overflow systems set in place to let waste flow straight into the river, streams, or even lakes.

Purifying salt water is gonna have to take place wether or not you believe in pollution, global warming, or santa.
